Cobra Enterprises was growing fast, but hiring wasn't keeping up. The company needed skilled tradespeople, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and apprentices, many of whom would need to be open to travel rotations. Traditional recruitment efforts like job postings, career fairs, and bonus programs were generating interest, but not enough of the right candidates.
The deeper issue was perception. Cobra had strong brand recognition locally. People knew the logo, saw the trucks, and associated the name with momentum. But most potential candidates didn't fully understand what made Cobra different as an employer: the culture, the career paths, the benefits, or the values behind the work.In a competitive skilled trades market where most companies rely on the same hiring playbook, Cobra needed something that would cut through the noise and make the right people feel something. They needed a recruitment video that showcased the pride, purpose, and opportunity behind building a career at Cobra, not just filling a position.
We created a one-minute cinematic recruitment video styled like a military call-to-action. The goal was to make Cobra Enterprises feel like an elite crew that skilled tradespeople would want to be part of. Not corporate. Not staged. Just real work, real people, and a tone that matched the grit and energy of the company.
The concept centred on a commanding voiceover layered over powerful on-site visuals. Instead of listing job openings or rattling off benefits, we built the story around pride, resilience, and purpose. The message was simple: this is your chance to build something bigger and belong.
Visually, we designed every shot to make the work feel larger than life. We used anamorphic lenses for a widescreen, cinematic look and built contrast through a mix of handheld action shots, smooth gimbal push-ins, slow-motion close-ups that showcased the scale of Cobra's projects. Dramatic lighting and an industrial colour palette gave the footage a bold, movie-trailer aesthetic.
We also produced a series of social cuts designed for paid recruitment campaigns. Each social video was built around a few action-packed shots with a bold one-liner voiceover and a direct-to-camera call to action, optimized for scroll-stopping performance across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

The finished video gave Cobra Enterprises a recruitment tool that matched the energy and ambition of the company itself.
Alex and the team at Prolex are by far one of the best video production companies I have ever worked with. I have utilized the Prolex team several times over the years. The team is strategic, professional, and considerate to all requirements. I have used them in the past for brand awareness videos, employer branding, and commercials. Each time they show up on-time, on-point and crush it. Every team member has been a pleasure to work with. Communication is fantastic, change management is a breeze, project management is clear and consistent and the outcome always gives the audience a "wow" factor. I would 100% recommend the Prolex team to any marketing executives, business owners or Board of Directors who are in need of a positive return on video production or any type of creative communication project.
